Who I Am
[Your name or handle, where you're based in NZ, and how long you've been playing and running D&D.]
[What got you into the hobby. Old box sets? A friend's table? Keep it short and personal.]
[Anything else players should know — day job hours, family, why you run games for strangers on the internet.]
How I Run a Table
Every DM has a style. Here's mine, so you can decide whether it's for you before you commit an evening to it.
| Aspect | My approach |
|---|---|
| Balance of play | [e.g. roughly equal combat, exploration and roleplay] |
| Difficulty & danger | [e.g. fights can be lethal; running away is a valid tactic] |
| Dice rolls | [e.g. I roll in the open / behind the screen; I don't fudge] |
| Rules approach | [e.g. rules as written, but a fast ruling beats a slow lookup] |
| Story | [e.g. sandbox — you choose where to go / a planned arc with room to wander] |
| Maps & tokens | [e.g. grid combat on Roll20 with dynamic lighting; theatre of the mind for small scenes] |
| Tone | [e.g. serious stakes, with humour welcome at the table] |
What I Promise You
- I'll turn up prepared and on time, and give notice if a session has to move.
- Your choices will matter. The world reacts to what you do.
- I'll run a Session Zero for every new campaign, and I'll respect the lines and veils we agree.
- I'll make rulings fairly and explain them if you ask — after the session if it's holding up play.
- [Add or remove promises to suit you.]
